Hello, my name is Eiren

And this is my story.

Born to a Javanese mother and a Tanimbarese father in a harbour on the western coast of Java and raised in Bali, the ocean has always been home. Each rolling wave carries the history of my ancestors. Generations of men on my father’s side lived their lives at sea as captains, sailors and navigators.

The Indigenous cultures of Indonesia and the natural world, both above and below the sea, speak to my soul loudly. That is why I cross oceans, just like those before me, to travel and tell stories.

As the founder and managing director of Samudera Digital, a full-stack creative marketing agency, my focus has been to collaborate with ocean-led brands across Indonesia and beyond.

Every creative endeavour and business decision I make is moored to respect for culture, place and people. The way I live and build has always been about honouring the humility, patience and depth that the ocean has taught me.
